Just a few tips and some house rules to make your stay more comfortable! House rules- This is a non-smoking home. This includes cigarettes, vaping, and marijuana. If we find proof that you have been smoking inside or outside the house there will be a $300 fine. Please enjoy the screened in porch, it's a great place to hang out! We do ask you to be respectful of the neighbors. No parties! Please take your gathering inside by 9 pm on weekdays, 10 pm on the weekends. There is a fire pit under the screened in porch, it is there for your use! We ask that you do not put the fire pit up on the deck, nor leave the fire pit unattended (yes, I do actually have to mention that… it has happened). Enjoy the sunny deck! The furniture is also under the screened in porch. It is stored there for easier maintanence, feel free to take it out. Please put the umbrella back down when you are done using it. It knocks over easily if there is any wind. You will also find a tablecloth for the outside table in the dresser near the basement door. We are a pet friendly house with a fully fenced backyard. We want you and the guests after you, to have full enjoyment of the yard. We ask that you put your pooches poo in the doggie compost bin located in the small metal trash can next to the fence. There is also a scooper You DO NOT need to bundle up your pets presents in bags, they only delay the decomposition process. There are a few TV's located in the house. The basement TV has basic cable. You will also find a Blu Ray player with Netflix and a few other apps. Both the Master bedroom TV and the main floor TV are smart televisions. If you have accounts for any of these apps and you sign in to them, please remember to log off before you leave. There are a few movies for the Blu Ray, feel free to enjoy! Tons of books! You will find books all over the house. If you find one you like please feel free to read it. If you take one please leave one. If you are in need of a clean set of sheets during your stay, you will find them in the upstairs hall closet. There are also towels located there as well. Extra blankets and pillows can be found in the closet of each bedroom as well as the basket next to the couch in the living room. The pack-n-play is located in the upstairs hall closet as well. If you would like sheets for it they are on the shelf. There is also a booster seat in the closet at the bottom of the stairs. You will find the iron and ironing board in the laundry room. Climate Control- If you would like to adjust the temperature please feel free. You simply need to adjust the temperature using the up or down arrows. If at the end of your stay, it is in the months of March - October, please set the temperature to 80 degrees, if you are ending your stay with us between the months of November - February, please set the temperature to 65. Cleaning - Had a spill? Cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink to clean up any messes you make during your stay. Please only use the bottle labeled Countertop Cleaner on the wooden kitchen countertops. Please do not place hot objects directly on the countertop nor cut directly on the countertop. We have provided cutting boards for that purpose There is a lawn service that comes to the house once a week Spring thru fall. If this will be a problem please notify me at once. We can find a day and time that works best for you. Check out time is 11am Trash- Please make sure to put the trash in the trash can on the side of the house. There are also recycling containers there as well. You do not need to sort the recycling, it can all go together. We ask that Guests who are there on Sundays, to please put the trash and the recycling bins at the end of the driveway for Monday morning pick up. Trash day: Monday Recycling day: Monday Linens- Please place all dirty towels in the laundry basket located in the hall outside the bathroom. Please DO NOT start the washing machine. No need to strip the beds. I will do that for you. Dishes- Please load all dirty dishware into the dishwasher and start it. Furniture and toys- Please move all furniture back to where it was when you arrived and the children's toys too! -Any children's toys or furniture that was moved during your stay MUST be moved back before you leave. There will be a fee for not moving it back. You will find items all over the house for your use. Please take a good look around, you might be surprised to find something that you didn’t expect :) Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I hope you enjoy your stay. The house is yours to enjoy. There are a few staple pantry items in the kitchen, as well as tea and coffee, for your use. There is a closet in the master bedroom that will be locked. This is the only area that is off limits to guests.
